The Turkish President, Abdullah Gul, has confirmed his country support to Sudan regardless the outcome of South Sudan referendum due to take place in January 2011. The Turkish President said, while receiving the visiting Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti that Turkey will spare no resources in supporting Sudan after the referendum.
The Sudanese government has objected to a proposal to move United Nations peacekeepers to the tense border between the north and south ahead of a referendum on independence for the south.
As part of the scramble for Africa, the British took over the Sudan. The country of Sudan was so vast to the extent that its administration entailed a lot of money to cater for sound and modern governance.
Abyei Administration Deputy Chief, Rahma Abdalrahman Al Nour described the claims of tense situations in Abyei region as baseless, affirming stability of security up there.
